  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups freeze dried strawberries
  • 0.67 cup rice krispie cereal

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x9 baking pan and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, and vanilla extract.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients into wet mixture until combined.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  7. While brownies are cooling, prepare the chocolate topping. Heat heavy cream to a boil, pour over chocolate chips and whisk until smooth.
  8. Stir in honey, vanilla extract, strawberries, and cereal into the chocolate mixture.
  9. Spread the chocolate mixture over cooled brownies and chill until set.
  10. Slice into bars and serve. Best served cold or at room temperature.
