  • 12 Mason Jar Lids Metal Mason Jar Lids
  • 1 Jar Mason Jar Rings To attach the lids together
Snowman Face & Details
  • 1 Bottle Black Permanent Marker For eyes and mouth
  • 0.5 Ounce Orange Acrylic Paint For the carrot nose
  • 1 Spool Red or Green Craft Felt For the scarf
  • 1 Yard Twine or Ribbon For hanging
  • 1 Bottle White Craft Glue

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Gather all your supplies. You'll need mason jar lids, mason jar rings, a black permanent marker, orange acrylic paint, craft felt, twine, and white craft glue.
  2. Take one mason jar lid and use the black permanent marker to draw two eyes and a mouth for your snowman on the white center of the lid.

  3. Paint a small triangle shape above the mouth for the carrot nose using the orange acrylic paint. Let it dry completely.

  4. Cut a thin strip of red or green craft felt for the snowman's scarf. Glue it around the 'neck' of the snowman (where the lid meets the ring).

  5. Take a mason jar ring and place one decorated lid inside it. Repeat with another decorated lid and place it inside the same ring, so the decorated sides are facing outwards. This will form the snowman's body.

  6. Cut a piece of twine or ribbon and tie it through the top of the mason jar ring to create a loop for hanging the ornament.

  7. Repeat steps 2-6 to create more snowman ornaments.
