Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 0.75 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.75 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups Gouda cheese, shredded
  • 0.5 cup Romano cheese, grated
  • 2 cups Vidalia onion, finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chives, minced for garnish

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, shredded Gouda cheese, grated Romano cheese, finely diced Vidalia onion, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and hot sauce. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe skillet. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the dip is hot, bubbly, and lightly golden brown on top.
  4. Carefully remove the skillet from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving. This allows the dip to set slightly.
  5. Garnish the top with fresh minced chives. Serve hot with toasted baguette slices or your favorite dippers.

Notes

This dip is best served warm, straight from the skillet. For an extra kick, you can add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the mixture. Enjoy!
