  • 1.5 cups peanut butter chunky or creamy
  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Chocolate Coating
  • 12 oz chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons paraffin wax optional, omit if using candy melts

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large bowl, combine peanut butter, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  2. Roll the mixture into 25 balls.
  3. In a double boiler, bring water to a rolling boil. Add chocolate chips and paraffin wax. Stir until smooth and melted.
  4. Using a spoon, dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate to coat. Place the dipped balls on a baking sheet lined with wax or parchment paper.
  5. If desired, sprinkle with holiday-themed sprinkles or drizzle with white chocolate.
  6. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 30 minutes to allow the balls to harden.

Notes

Store leftover peanut butter balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
