  • 1 cups pure maple syrup
  • 1 pieces Granny Smith apple cored & diced
  • 0.25 cups cooking oil
  • 0.5 cups chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 0.25 cups pure maple syrup
  • 0.67 cups confectioners’ sugar sifted
  • 0.25 teaspoons salt

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease or line a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Whisk flour, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, and baking powder in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, mix applesauce, syrup, and oil. Add dry ingredients and stir until combined. Fold in diced apple and chopped pecans.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool before glazing.
  5. To make the glaze, melt butter and maple syrup in a microwave-safe bowl for 1.5 to 2 minutes. Whisk in confectioners’ sugar and salt until smooth. Cool slightly and drizzle over the cooled bread.
