  • 0.75 cup butter (softened)
  • 0.75 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 0.25 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 5 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup Halloween chocolate candies
  • 0.25 cup Halloween sprinkles

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Add the butter to a large mixing bowl and cream with a hand mixer (or stand mixer) for about 1 minute, until softened.
  2. Add the brown sugar and sugar and cream together with the mixer for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing with the mixer in between each addition.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and mix together.
  5. In another large mixing bowl, add the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt and whisk to combine.
  6. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and stir with a wooden spoon until just mixed.
  7. Add the chocolate candies and sprinkles and mix until evenly distributed. Be careful to not overmix.
  8. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 375℉. Prepare a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  10. Scoop the batter onto the prepare sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes for a regular sized cookie or 12 to 14 minute for a large sized cookie.
  11. Remove the cookies from the oven and add any extra candies to the top if you like.
  12. Let cool on a baking rack before enjoying.

Notes

These cookies are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
