  • 0.5 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium sweet onion, chopped
  • 24 oz pasta sauce
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9-inch glass pie plate with olive oil.
  2. Cook ground beef, green pepper, and onion over medium heat for 10 minutes, or until beef is browned. Stir in pasta sauce, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 6 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Place cooked spaghetti in the prepared pie plate.
  4. In a small bowl, stir eggs and cottage cheese until well mixed. Spread this mixture evenly over the spaghetti. Spoon the beef mixture over the cottage cheese mixture. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  5. Bake for 35 minutes, or until the center is set. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
