Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 0.33 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.33 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 cup chocolate chips

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. In a medium bowl, stir together the melted butter and brown sugar until combined. Whisk in the egg yolk and vanilla extract.
  2. Stir in the flour, salt, and baking soda until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Divide the dough evenly between two 8-ounce ramekins and press gently to cover the bottom of each.
  3. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the edges are set and slightly golden brown, but the center is still a little soft. Allow to cool in the ramekins for a few minutes before serving warm, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

If you don't have ramekins, you can use oven-safe coffee mugs or small baking dishes. Baking time may vary depending on the size and material of your chosen dish.
