Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Place pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and chill.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the melted butter with sugars until smooth.
  4. Add egg and vanilla extract and mix well.
  5. Add baking soda and salt, mixing thoroughly.
  6. Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips.
  8. Spread cookie dough into the prepared pie crust and sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  10. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
