  • 63 ounces cherry pie filling
  • 15.25 ounces yellow cake mix
  • 20 ounces 7UP lemon-lime soda
  • 1.75 tablespoons salted butter melted
  • 1 serving vanilla ice cream optional garnish

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Generously spray a 9x13 baking dish with baker’s spray.
  2. Evenly spread 2 cans of cherry pie filling in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the cherry pie filling.
  4. Slowly pour the 7UP soda over the cake mix layer. Use a spoon to gently smooth the top layer without stirring.
  5. Spoon 5-6 dollops of remaining cherry filling on top. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove from oven and brush melted butter over the top if desired. Let cool before serving with vanilla ice cream.
