- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture, and beat until combined.
- Mix in the mashed bananas until well incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets. Top with additional chocolate chips if desired.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are golden. Cool on wire racks.
